KENNEDY, Ala. — Lou Ellen Patchen, 95, died Aug. 11, 2020, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Dowdle Funeral Home, with Raymond Stewart and John McPeek officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Patchen was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Brookside, Alabama, to the late Dewey Eugene and Hattie (Bradford) Parker. She was a member of Kennedy Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; children, Jerry and Johnny Patchen; siblings, Gladys Ashcraft, Hazel Studdard, Dixie Carter, Walter Parker and Bobby Parker. She is survived by her son, Bob Parker; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Eddie Patchen, Dylan Patchen, David Long, David Lucas, Jackie Patchen and Ricky Moore.
