TEMPLE, Texas — Elnora Evan Lanier, 83, died July 20, 2020. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sandfield Cemetery. Visitation is from noon-5 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lanier was born Jan. 23, 1937, in Starkville, to the late John Evans and Ann Rebecca Outlaw Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lanier; siblings, Tiny Mae Spearman, Hattie Hale, Louise Henry, George Evans and John Evans; and one grandchild. She is survived by her children, Debra hall, Susie Jones, Charles H. Lanier Jr., Mary E. Jones, Joycine Britt, Jeremiah Lanier and Benjamin Lanier; siblings, Nora Lee Finch, Bernica Weatherspoon, Nathanial Evans, RD Evans and Jasper Evans; 18 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
