ABERDEEN — Mike Stanike Kennedy, 72, died May 20, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice of Tupelo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, at First Pentecostal Church, with Ricky Bowen, the Rev. Jomes Terry and Rev. Cody Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today, at the church. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kennedy was born Sept. 13, 1947, in the Carolina Community of Itawamba County, to the late George Samuel and Norma Little Kennedy. He was formerly employed as owner and operator of Kennedy’s Garage, as a welder and sandblaster with Palmer Bodies and at Kennedy Construction. he was a member of Aberdeen Pentecostal Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Kennedy; and siblings, Ozelle Gilmore, Cecil, Hack and George Kennedy. He is survived by his wife, Lois Kennedy; children, Michael Darrell Kennedy of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Marty Dean Kennedy of Booneville and Keena L. Kennedy of Aberdeen; siblings, Lee Kennedy of Amory, Rev. Doug Kennedy of the Athens Community and Juanity Kennedy of Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Darrell Kennedy, Michael Bradley Kennedy, Rev. Cody Kennedy, Zackary Chase Kennedy, Matthew Tyler Kennedy, Marty Kennedy, Samuel Kennedy, Elyjah Kennedy, Dakota Kennedy and Jude Mitchell.
