COLUMBUS — Billy Ray Jackson, 57, died May 19, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Benchmark Memorial Life Center is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jackson was born July 12, 1962, in Noxubee County, to the late Jimmie Lee and Emma Lee Jackson. He was a graduate of Noxubee County High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed as a master mechanic in aircraft engineering with the Columbus U.S. Air Force fleet. He was a member of tenth Street Fairlawn Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Johnnie B. Jackson, Willie R. Jackson, Addie B. Jackson Staples and Linda J. Jackson Stewart. He is survived by his wife, Marian; children, Jasper, Justin, Demetris, Gregory and Janet all of Columbus; and siblings, Emma Howard jackson, Robert jackson, Edward Jackson, Jimmie Jackson all of Columbus, Bobby Jackson of Florida and Tommie Jackson of New York.
