BEAVERTON, Ala. — Vernie Mae Trentham, 91, died Feb. 17, 2020, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home of Guin, Alabama. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Beaverton Baptist Church, with Rusty Holland and Mitch Nethery officiating. Burial will follow at Sizemore Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, at the church. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Trentham was born July 24, 1928, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Fannie Lee Terrell. She was formerly the owner of Trentham’s Florist and Gifts and a member of Beaverton Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Trentham; and brother, Carl Cantrell. She is survived by her children, David Trentham, Dwight Trentham, both of Sulligent, Alabama, June King of Double Springs, Alabama, Jean Taylor of Winfield, Alabama and Joan Rawls of Fayette, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 20, great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Trentham, John Trentham, Brent Trentham, Chris Rawls, Phillip Rawls and Zach Taylor.
