MASHULAVILLE — Travis L. Lindsey, 80, died Sept. 15, 2019, at his residence. Services are at 11 a.m. today at Good Hope Baptist Church in Louisville. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery near Macon. Visitation is two hours prior to the services at the church. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lindsey was born May 6, 1939, in Winston County, to the late Clytee Lindsey Compton. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and was formerly employed as a manager and forest technician with C. A. Barge Lumber Company, now C. A. Barge Timberlands, L.P. He was also formerly employed with Barge Forest Products Company and as owner and operator of Dancing Rabbit Quail Preserve. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Estes Cotton Lindsey; sons, Sammy Lindsey of Shuqualak, Chuck Cotton of Mashulaville and David Cotton of Preston; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
