COLUMBUS ó Willie G. Hayden, 79, died July 4, 2019, at Aurora Health and Rehabilitation. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Millport, Alabama, with the Rev. Benny Will Henry officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from noon-6 p.m. today at Carterís Funeral Services. Carterís Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hayden was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Columbus, to the late Willie Hayden and Sally Hayden. He was formerly employed as a supervisor with Tombigbee Manufacturing Company. He was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Millport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Thessalonia Hayden and Jamie Hayden; and siblings, Cebell Jones, Maylee Hayden, Billy Hayden and Alvin Hayden; and two grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Willie G. Hayden Jr., Willie J. Hayden and Rosie Gage, all of Bakersville, California, Carol Shields, William Hayden and Mario Williams, all of Columbus, Rita Hayden of Tupelo and Douglas Hayden of Belden; siblings, Magelean Hayden, Sarah Jones and Hobbie Lee Hayden, all of Columbus, and Rosie Taylor of Kankakee, Illinois; 32 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Felton Hodges, Will Miller, Min. Billy Turner, Rickie Shies, Antonio Hayden, Anthony Morris and Alfred Hill.
