LYNN HAVEN, Fla. — Donna Helen South, 64, died May 9, 2019, in Asheville, North Carolina. Services are at 3 p.m. today at Otts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:30-3 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. South was born July 23, 1954, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Lewis R. Brown Sr. and Helen Crump. She was a 1972 graduate of Starkville High School and a graduate of Mississippi State University. She also attended Texas A & M and was formerly employed as a teacher at Mississippi State University and Bay High School in Panama City, Florida. She was a member of Emerald Coast Baptist Church in Panama City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Brown. She is survived by her husband, Louis South of Lynn Haven; son, Louis South II of Lititz, Pennsylvania; daughters, Emily Easterling of Asheville and Amy Jackson of Dadeville, Alabama; brothers, David Brown of Morton and Lewis Brown Jr. of Starkville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
