QUINCY — Clinton Junior “Buck” McNeese, 78, died May 11, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Gilmore in Amory. Services are at 2 p.m. today at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Rodney Waycaster and Lloyd Minor officiating. Burial will follow at Durrett Cemetery. Visitation is from noon-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McNeese was born April 17, 1941, to the late James T. and Maggie Heard McNeese. He attended Greenwood Springs School and was a graduate of Hatley High School. He served in the National Guard and was formerly employed as a home builder with Sanderson Construction, Wilemon Construction and Moffett Construction. He served as a bi-vocational preacher of Antioch Baptist Church, Victory Baptist Church and Rocky Springs Baptist Church and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James B. McNeese and Robert McNeese; sister, Dorothy Ti8ipton; and mother, Opal Helms. He is survived by his wife, Julia Goodwin McNeese of Quincy; sons, Dewayne McNeese, Tim McNeese and Kevin McNeese, all of Quincy; daughter, Kim McNeese Renfro of Wren; brother, Jackie McNeese of Quincy; sisters, Odean Woods of Texas; Betty Easter and Linda Devaughan, both of Aberdeen; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Brandon Carter, Herman Mitchell, Wade Minor, Kendall Waycaster, Ricky Chaney and Timmy Pickle.
