COLUMBUS — Peggy Jean Irwin, 67, died May 9, 2019, at her residence. No services will be held at this time. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Lowndes Funeral Home. Lowndes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Irwin was born Nov. 27, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Howard Jackson and Ann Nirrisa Caudill Wright. She was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Ethelsville, Alabama. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Richardson and Robin Louise Wright. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Singleton; children, James Richard Burchett of Baltimore, Sheryl Smith and Janet Singleton, both of Columbus, April Burns of Aberdeen, Howard Irwin of Panama City, Florida and Christina Harper of Joppatowna; siblings, Jacqueline A. Wright and Albert James Lewis, both of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Peggy Irwin Memorial Fund, c/o Lowndes Funeral Home, 1131 N.
