NOXUBEE — Bennie Mae Stewart, 79, died April 11, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Drake Hill M.B. Church in Brooksville with the Rev. Stephen Sykes officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from noon-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services in Macon. Carter’s Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Stewart was born July 7, 1939, in Noxubee County, to the late Bennie Adams and Ida Mae Hubbard. She was formerly employed with Johnston Tombigbee and Greenhouse Nursery and a member of Drake Hill M.B. Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stewart; son, Patrick Stewart; and sisters, Addie Mae Hubbard, Lillie Pearl Brewer, Willie Mae Heard and Rosie B. Garth. She is survived by her children, Delouis Grassree, Henry Stewart Jr. and James O. Stewart, all of Macon, Angeline Frierson and Helen Stewart, both of Brooksville, Felisa Stewart and Linda Faye Stewart, both of Columbus and Roxann Little of Scooba; brother, Willie Adams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren; 20 grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Mayberry, Leon, James, Edward, Julius and Rufus Boyd.
