MACON — William O. “Bill” Todd died April 12, 2019, at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Galloway officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Todd was born in Brooksville, to the late Archie and Nellie Triplett Todd. He was a graduate of Brooksville High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He was formerly employed with the Borden Plant in Macon, B & W Boiler in West Point, as a deputy sheriff in Florida, Florida State Corrections Department and as a commercial carrier truck driver. He was also a CPR educator for the American Red Cross. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Macon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Owen Todd Jr.; and siblings, Nellie Margaret Hizer, David Todd and Roscoe Todd. He is survived by his wife, Marianna K. Todd of Macon; son, Robert D. “Bobby” Todd of Macon; sisters, Ida Faye Oglesby and Helen Iris Harris, both of St. Cloud, Florida and Bonnie Hammett of Corinth; and brother, J.K. Todd of Piscataway, New Jersey. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 510, Macon, MS 39341.
