MANTEE, Miss. — Patty Sue Boyd, 89, passed away on March 7, 2019, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mantee Baptist Church with Reverend Zach Sanford officiating. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. at Mantee Baptist Church. Graveside Services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Memphis Memory Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee, with Dr. David Lewis officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Miss Boyd was born February 26, 1930, in Oakville, Tennessee, to the late John Calvin and Jewell Wilson Boyd. She retired from Sears Credit Center in Memphis, after 40 years. She was a member of Bartlett United Methodist Church where she was active in the Fidelity Sunday School Class, adult choir, and Senior Adult Fellowship. She later became a member of Mantee Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday School, adult choir, missions, and senior adult activites. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Wilson Boyd. She is survived by her sister, Lillian F. Boyd, of Mantee. Pallbearers will be Calvin Boyd, Shawn Boyd, Brady Boyd, Wil Boyd, Sam Stone, and Phil Ferguson. Memorials may be made to Mantee Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 161, Mantee, MS 39751 or to Bartlett United Methodist Church, 5676 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134.
