COLUMBUS — Larry E. Cosby, 73, died Oct. 12, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carter’s Funeral Services with the Rev. Nathaniel Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Carter’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Cosby was born Oct. 21, 1944, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Benjamin and Augusta Cosby. He was formerly employed with the Central Intelligence Agency for the U.S. Government and served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Cosby. He is survived by his wife, Rose L. Cosby of Columbus; daughters, Sonia M. Cosby of Columbus and Jasmine M. Banks of Kathleen, Georgia; siblings, Rosemary Cosby and Alfreda Cosby, both of Erie, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Leon Gilkey, Jesse Robinson, Eris Dowd, Oren Gilkey, Robert Greathree and Carl Outlaw.
