Robert Oswalt



MACON — Robert “Chico” Oswalt, 57, died June 10, 2018, at his residence. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Noxubee full Gospel Christian Center. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Cockrell Funeral Home. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Oswalt was born Jan. 18, 1961, in Casablanca, Africa, to Joe Wilson and Mary Inez Trevino Oswalt. He was formerly employed at Senter’s Hardware and Appliance of Macon and as riverboat captain. He also owned and operated Chico’s Country Store in Nanih Waiya. He attended Noxubee full Gospel Christian Center. He is preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Blackburn; and one grandchild. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Oswalt; son, Robert Oswalt; daughter, Jessica Daniel; brothers, Jimmy Oswalt, Joe Oswalt, Jr. and Alex Oswalt; sister, Mary Jordan; and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Cockrell Funeral Home, 310 Jefferson Street, Macon, MS 39341.
