FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Willie H. “Clarence” Westbrook, 75, died Sept. 6, 2017, at his residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Anderson Grove MB Church with David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sturdivant Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. today at Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus. Mr. Westbrook was born Jan. 19, 1942, to the late Grady and Nellie Gray Westbrook. He attended Anderson Grove Public Schools. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roosevelt Westbrook, Fred Westbrook and Wilbert Westbrook. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn J. Westbrook of Ft. Lauderdale; son, Clarence Oliver Westbrook; daughters, Darlene Gilbert, Theresa Gilbert and Wanda Outlaw, all of Ft. Lauderdale; brothers, Eddie Irions of Memphis, Willie C. Westbrook, Arthur Lee Westbrook and Grady Westbrook, all of Caledonia, Willie D. Westbrook of Ft. Lauderdale, Roy Lowe of Atlanta and Odell Lowe of Edwardsville, Illinois; sisters, Grace James, Wilda Smith and Annie Moore, all of Caledonia,Mary Cunningham and Christine Woodricks, both of Columbus, Rosa Barnes of Quincey, Florida, and Anna Gayle Thomas of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
