Mrs. Virginia Arnell Burgess Trull, 84 of Kennedy, Al died Wednesday September 20, 2017 at Fayette Long Term Care in Fayette, Al. Funeral services will be Friday September 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Chris McCool And Raymond Spann officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 at Dowdle Funeral Home. Born April 27, 1933 in Pickens County, Al to the late Clayton & Lucile Todd Burgess. She graduated from Kennedy High School, May 11, 1951 and worked for the F.B.I. in Washington D.C. and Newark New Jersey for more than 5 years. Mrs. Trull worked at Westinghouse over 25 years and in the lunchroom at South Lamar High School for 5 years. She volunteered in the classroom at South Lamar 1 day per week for 10 years. She was a member of Meadow Branch Baptist Church, The Order of Eastern Star since 1957. Mrs. Trull loved working in her yard, traveling, sending cards and visiting the sick and elderly and working as a poll worker at Kennedy precinct. Mrs. Trull was active with the athletic Booster club helping with food and serving along with working concession for basketball. She enjoyed the South Lamar Rescue Squad fish fry and had a special love for her 3 precious grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Trull, parents, brothers Leo Newton Burgess, Eddie Clayton Burgess, Jr., Joseph Curry Burgess, and infant brother, Sisters Ovella Burgess Bryant and Frances Burgess. She is survived by two sons, John David Trull, Millport, Al & Mark (Karen) Trull, Kennedy, Al, grandchildren Leah Hawthorne, Kayla (Jonas) Freeman, Kyle (Candice) Trull, Great Grandchildren Weston and Landon Freeman and Aden & Emma Autrey. Pallbearers will be Keith Bryant, Jonas Freeman, Kyle Trull, John McDaniel, Brandon Autrey, Byron Burgess.
