MILLPORT, Ala. — Myrtie Sansing, 81, died July 13, 2012, at her residence. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home with the Revs. David Honeycutt and Benton Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Millport City Cemetery. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Sansing was born a native of Pickens County and the daughter of the late James and Maudie Ruffin Trapp. She was a member of Millport Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sansing; sisters, Adell Trapp and Celestle Cordle; brothers, Robert and Ed Trapp. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda S. Kelley of Millport; son, James Ronnie Sansing of Millport; sisters, Penny Justis of Maryland, and Virgie Rickman of Columbus; three grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, and step great-great-grandchild.
