SHUQUALAK — Mike Butler, 66, died April 21, 2019, at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Butler Pentecostal Church near Shuqualak with Gerald Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Butler Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Butler was born March 21, 1953, in Noxubee, to the late Joe C. and Christine Goodin Butler. He attended Noxubee High School and was a graduate of Central Academy in Macon. He was formerly employed with the Deerbrook Company and was owner and operator of a bull-dozer business. He was also formerly employed with the Mississippi State Forestry Commission and was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Lanier. He is survived by his wife, Edie Butler of Shuqualak; son, Clint Butler of Starkville; sister, Shirley Sciple of Shuqualak; and four grandchildren.
