COLUMBUS — Michael Derrick Ellis, 47, died Nov. 20, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, at James M. Trotter Convention Center. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ellis was born June 20, 1974, in Columbus, to Roland Ellis II and Floria Mitchell. He was formerly employed as owner and operator of Kaye’s Left Over and DBomb Networks.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kennedra D. Ellis; children, Malcolm Ellis, McKenzie Ellis and Robert Roland, all of Columbus; siblings, Kimberly Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, both of Columbus, Roland Ellis III, Melony Ellis, Lorraine Ellis, all of South Bend, Indiana and Phillip Sims of Germany; and two grandchildren.
