REFORM, Ala. — The Rev. Virgil “Mayo” Woolbright, 77, died June 8, 2019, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel, with Georg Shaw and Billy Carl Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Reform. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Woolbright was born to the late Marshall and Lizzie Cobb Woolbright. He was a graduate of Palmetto High School and served as Pastor of churches in Pickens, Fayette, Lamar and Tuscaloosa counties. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Veston and James Duin; and sister, Doris Woolbright Brown. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hannah Woolbright; daughters, Cindy Sullivan of McShan and Tammie Windle of Reform; sons, Billy Woolbright of Kennedy and David Woolbright of Palmetto; sisters, Vaudine Beard of Columbus, Marie Morgan of Livingston, Clarice Baker of Brandon and Judy Lindsey of Cottondale; brothers, Clester Woolbright and Gaylon Woolbright, both of Reform, Larry Woolbright and Terry Woolbright, both of Gordo; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joshua Sullivan, Christopher Sullivan, Jacoby Woolbright, Rodney Woolbright, Marcus Honnell and Eric Garrard.
