ABERDEEN — Maxine Mason, 69, died Oct. 20, 2017, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel with Robert Earl Fowlkes, Dudley Nash and Lucy Nash officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Mason was born May 9, 1948, to the late Marlin Ellis Barnett and Lena Mae Dodd Barnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Tony Stanton and Terry Ellis Long; sisters, Frances Long and Ruth Beard; and brothers, Neil, Joe, Charlie and Raymond Barnett. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Long and Tonya Stanton McVaugh, both of Aberdeen; sister, Sue Barnett of Henderson, Tennessee; brother, Jr. Barnett of Aberdeen; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
