STARKVILLE – Max Timothy “Tim” Avant, 61, died Feb. 2, 2021. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Avant was born April 30, 1959, to the late Max and Peggy Avant. He was a graduate of West Point High School and Mississippi State University. He was formerly employed in the Mississippi Public School Systems and a band director with Louisville School District. He is survived by his siblings, Clint Avant, Tina Avant both of West Point and Lynn Nance of Caledonia.
