Mary C. Peek, 90, died May 24, 2009, at Windsor Place of Columbus. Services are Monday at 11 a.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy L. Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Sandfield Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Peek was born Nov. 24, 1918, to the late Fryson and Mary Gandy Clemmons. She attended Wayne School of Nursing. She was a private duty nurse for several years and then worked at Columbus Hospital for 30 years. She was a member of Fourth Street M.B. Church and served on the Mother Board. She is survived by her stepson.
