Mary Michott Elliott

Mary Michot Elliott, age 80. Died December 30, 2009, at her residence in Portland, Oregon. Mrs. Elliott was born November 14, 1929, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Adele Domas Michot and Louis Joseph Michot, Sr. She was a supporter of the arts, and served on the speakers’ bureau of The New Orleans Museum of Art. She belonged to Friends of the Cabildo, giving historical and architectural tours through the French Quarter and Garden District. In later life, Mrs. Elliott modeled for television commercials and appeared as an extra in several movies. She was a food stylist and worked on Hollywood movie sets, which often filmed on locations around the New Orleans area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Bruce Elliott, and her parents. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Michot Bengiuat, of Beverly Hills, California, and three brothers, James Michot, Warren Michot and William Michot, all of Louisiana. Mrs. Elliott is survived by three children, Adele Elliott of Columbus, Mississippi, Garland Elliott, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Victoria Elliott Brase of Portland Oregon; one grandchild, Gillian Elliott Brase of Portland, Oregon; and multiple grandpets. She is also survived by one sister, Jacqueline Michot Ceballos of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and one brother, Louis Michot, of Lafayette, Louisiana. There will be no service. Mrs. Elliott has donated her body to the Oregon Health and Science University. In lieu of flowers or donations, please put on some lipstick.
