MILLPORT, Ala. — Mary Francis Cunningham, 77, died March 17, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Holly Grove M.B. Church, with the Rev. Kevin Dixon Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cunningham was born Oct. 4, 1944, in Millport, to the late Rev. Frank James and Lillie Bell Cox. She attended Lamar County Schools and was formerly employed at Weyerhaeuser Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. O.L. Morgan, Donald Cox, Charles Cox and Tommie Watson; sister, Martha Johnson and Anne McCarthy; and one grandchild.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Cunningham, Shelia Hood, Dana Cunningham, Sherica Gordon and Danielle Ranch; sons, John Cunningham Jr., Michael Cunningham and Derrick Cunningham, all of Millport; brothers, Joe Cox and Douglas Cox; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
