COLUMBUS — Mary Frances Burnett Bush, 91, died April 21, 2021, residence.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at West Lowndes High School, with the Rev. Clarence Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bush was born July 25, 1929, in Artesia, to the late Jimmie Burnett and Susie Burnett. She was formerly employed as a bus driver with Lowndes County School District and was a member of Beulah Grove Full Gospel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bush; and siblings, Carrie Burnett, Jimmie Burnett and Catherine Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Maxine Smith of Abilene, Texas, Willie Mae Peoples, Glen Bush, Carnell Bush, all of Columbus, Lynn Wynn of Arlington, Texas, Samuel Bush of Phoenix, Arizona and Betty Young of Houston, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 40 great-great-grandchildren.
