ABERDEEN — Mary Pirelo Baker, 93, died July 23, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m., Tuesday, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home. A private graveside service will follow at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Baker was born Feb. 20, 1923, to the late Newton and Catherine Bivona Pirelo. She graduated from Waco High School and Waco Business College. She attended Baylor University and Mississippi University for Women. She was previously employed with the Judge Advocate Office in Washington, D.C. and served as a transportation agent. She was a member of the Home and Garden Club, Gourmet Club and Aberdeen Country Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. Baker; three brothers; and one granddaughter. She is survived by her son, J.K. Baker II of Birmingham, Alabama; daughters, Penny Coleman of Columbus and Jo Ellen Lilley of Olive Branch; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Corey and Scott Baker, David Coleman, Andy Adair, Jason Kelly and Jon Stone.
