LAKE CHARLES, La. — Marquis Deutray Silvers, 37, died Nov. 12, 2022.
Funeral services will be at p.m. Saturday, at Christian Hill M.B. Church in Brooksville, with the Rev. Alphonzo Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Silvers was born Aug. 28, 1985, in Macon, to Marvus and Mattie Silvers. He was a graduate of Noxubee County High School and was formerly employed as an iron rigger in industrial construction and with MEI Riggins as a certified crane operator.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Marquis Deuntray Silvers Jr., La’kelvius Katordrea Silvers, Daxton Tripp Silvers and Aliyah Denea Andrus; siblings, Tarmarcus Silvers, Marleka Horton, Wilnishia Buckhalter, Tiffany Buckhalter and Tracy Harris.
Pallbearers will be Sammie Buckhalter, Johnny Buckhalter, Darren Buckhalter, Michael Buckhalter, Gerome Hargrove, Brandon Sanders, Maurice Sanders and Santario Yeates.
