AMORY — Marlon Lee Harris, 70, died Oct. 15, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Church Moffett officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Harris was born July 15, 1948, in Sunflower County, to the late Estle Ray and Florence Leona Pike Harris. He attended Smithville School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Marble Mountain area of Vietnam. He was self-employed as a welder and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Krajewski and Bertha Bradshaw; and brothers, Ray Burdine, Grady Arlin, Charles Rubin, Jerry Harris and Kenneth D. Harris. He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Harris of West Memphis, Arkansas and Deanna Harris of Indiana; brother, Curtis Harris of Tishomingo, Oklahoma; sister, Margaret Montgomery of Grand Prairie, Texas; and a host of grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Moffett, Rickey Moffett, Jonathan Jones, Wayne King, Wilburn Hathcock, Jackie Jones and Glenn Jones. Memorials may be made to the Eldridge Children’s Home or to the Disabled American Veterans.
