WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Marjorie W. Saunders, 86, died April 19, 2009. Services are Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home Chapel in Warner Robins with Missy Blumenthal officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Saunders was born on Nov. 24, 1922, in Scooba. On completion of beauty school in Meridian, she was employed by Frits and was asked to be the stylist for the star of a movie filmed in Meridian. She settled in Warner Robins in 1944. She opened her first shop in 1946. She was a member of the Warner Robins Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6605 and the Cosmetology Association. She was a Methodist. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer D. Jackson; parents, Ernest B. Williams and Annie Mae Craig Williams; sisters, Sarah Williams Lavender Woodson and Ruby William Patty; and brother, Ernest B. Williams Jr. She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Saunders Jr. of Warner Robins; son, Elmer D. Jackson Jr.; brother, John F. Williams; stepdaughter, Terry L. Wilson; stepson, Nathaniel H. Saunders III; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to: First United Methodist Church, 205 N. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31093; or to the charity of choice.
