WEST POINT — Mamie Lee Jackson Jones, 66, died Feb. 28, 2009, at North Mississippi Medical Center–West Point. Services are Saturday at 3 p.m. at Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church in West Point with the Rev. Larry V. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel in West Point. Mrs. Jones was born June 6, 1942. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Jackson Sr.; and brothers, Charles and Cedric Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Wallace Jones; mother, Mary Jackson; sons, Donnie Jackson, Wallace and Percy Jones, and John and Bobby Walker; daughters, Mavis, Dora and Sharon Williams, Nancy Cunningham and Jean Trice; brothers, Thomas Jr., Melvin, Larry and Gilbert Jackson; sisters, Eula Jackson, Emma Richard, Loraine Bingham, Mary Ann Dudley, Rita Wiggins and Arlesia Mobley; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
