COLUMBUS — Major Lee Sr., 79, died April 9, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital — Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Providence M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Stallion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lee was born on April 4, 1944, in Columbus, to the late Minnie Adell and Jessie Lee. He was a member of Providence M.B. Church and was formerly employed with Airline Manufacturing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Curtis Lee and Rose Mary Lee; and siblings, Queenie E. Lee, Ty Lee, Josie Mae Lee and Ossie Lee Jones.
He is survived by his children, Annie Lee and Major Lee Jr., both of Columbus; siblings, Willie Lee and Annie Mae Baldwin, both of Warren, Ohio and Mary Ella Lee and Ollie Lee Jr., both of Columbus; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sedrick Lee, Lamar Lee, Pierce Long, Demetrist Jones, Lexi Jones and Ron Butler.
