Mable Eloise Smith
WEST POINT — Mable Eloise Smith, 85, died March 14, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Agnew officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Smith was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Vardaman to the late Kathleen Franklin Inman and James Vardaman Inman. She was a seamstress for Knickerbocker Manufacturing and also for Burris Manufacturing. She was a member of West Point Apostolic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Limmie Ell Smith Sr.; sons, Frankie Carl Smith and Limmie “Bobby” Ell Smith Jr.; brother, James Inman; and one grandson. She is survived by daughters, Ruth Walls of Vardaman, Rosemary McDaniel of Louisville, Sandra Burchfield of Jackson, and Barbara Harmon of West Point; son, Roger Dale Smith of Houston; sisters, Mary Kate Hardin of Derma, and Fairy Rose Huffmanof Houston; brothers, David Inman of West Point, Frank Inman of Clinton; 16 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren Pallbearers will be Shane McDaniel, Brian Smith, Tracy Burchfield, Joel Walls, Duane McDaniel and Terry Allen Pitts.
