M. Lorette Criddle, age 98, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was born September 23, 1917 to John Davis Dendy and Betty Gibson Harrington Dendy in Chickasaw County. She lived most of her life in Clay County where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2016 at Palestine Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Lammons and Rev. David Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen and from 1:00 until service time, Friday, September 16 at Palestine Methodist Church. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen will be in charge of the services. Survivors include four daughters Patricia Simmons (Jasper) of West Point, MS, Betty Thomas (Glenn) of Double Springs, AL, Barbara Sims (Jessie) of Columbus, MS, Linda Kilgore (James) of Houston, MS; one son, Sam Criddle (Gloria) of Aberdeen, MS; fifteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommie C. Criddle; two sons, James Forrest Criddle and Johnnie L. Criddle; one grandson, Christopher Criddle; one great grandson, Christopher Nolan; brothers and sisters, John Thomas Dendy, Dewitt Dendy, Rosa Virginia Dendy, Avery Dendy, Lee Dendy, Lorene Dendy, and Marvin Dendy. Pallbearers will be Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
