WEST POINT — Lula Beatrice Cunningham, 88, died April 10, 2009, at her residence. Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in West Point with Bishop William H. Golden Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at West Point Memorial Gardens. Visitation is today from 3-6 p.m. at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel in West Point. Mrs. Cunningham was born July 26, 1920, in West Point. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie William Cunningham; parents, to the late Robert Daniels Sr. and Lucinda Moore; sons, George Wheeler Billups and Dennis Cunningham; brother, Wheeler Daniels; and sisters, Mary Daniels and Mamie Moore. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Louise Billups of West Point, Diana Bowen of Houston, Cynthia Mack of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Nadine Billups of Gary, Ind.; brother, Robert Daniels Jr. of Florida; sister, Toy Marshall of West Point; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
