NOXUBEE COUNTY — Lucille Roane, 60, died Sept. 13, 2023, at OCH Medical Center – Starkville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Carter’s Funeral Services, with Rev. Carl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Roane was born Jan. 13, 1963, in Noxubee County, to the late Earvin Harmon Sr. and Marie Harmon. She was a graduate of Noxubee High School. She formerly served in the United States Army and served as a social worker for the Department of VA.
She is survived by her husband, McKinley Roane; children, Amanda Roane of Texas and Brandon Roane of Pennsylvania; siblings, Earnestine George, Ruby Nell Harmon, Thelma Temms, Charlie Harmon, Judy Harmon Coleman and Ernest Harmon, all of Macon, Earvin Harmon Jr. of Starkville, Patricia Harmon of Texas and Aretha Anderson of Alabama; and one grandchild.
