Lois Frances Smith Honnoll, 76, of Caledonia, MS passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in Caledonia, MS. Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2012, from 5 – 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 10 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Todd Lemmon officiating. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Honnoll was born October 14, 1935, in Monroe County, MS to the late Wilson and Ozell Wakefield Smith. She was a lifetime resident of Lowndes County and she was a member of Caledonia United Methodist Church, Caledonia, MS. Mrs. Honnoll was a member of the choir, taught childrens church and served as a church trustee. For the past fourteen years, she worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Edwin Meeks. Mrs. Honnoll enjoyed working in the yard, putting puzzles together, cooking, reading and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Honnoll was also preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Leon Honnoll. Mrs. Honnoll is survived by her daughter, Anita (Willis) Peek, Caledonia, MS; son, Stephen (Cecelia) Honnoll, Caledonia, MS; sisters, Shirley Curtis Mason, Steens, MS and Joyce (Jim) Williams, Houston, TX; brother, Wayne (Marie) Smith, Longbeach, MS; grandchildren, Aubree (Jacob) Greggs, Thomas Honnoll and Anthony Honnoll; great-grandchildren, Riley Greggs and Braden Greggs. Pallbearers will be Thomas Honnoll, Anthony Honnoll, Mike Dodson, Jacob Greggs, Scott Oswalt and Brad Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Caledonia United Methodist Church, Dr. Edwin Meeks and Staff, Dr. John Stanback, Dr. Charles Stanback and members of Caledonia United Methodist Church Choir.
