BROOKSVILLE — Lin Wallace, 84, died June 2, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Christian Hill MB Church in Brooksville with the Rev. Bobby Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Bigbee Valley Church Cemetery. Visitation is today from noon-6 p.m. at Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon. Mr. Wallace was born Aug. 5, 1931, to the late Hugh Wallace and Arlee Wallace. He was previously employed as a construction worker. He was a member of Christian Love MB Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lue Jean Duck Wallace; siblings, Willie Wallace, Jack Wallace, Cornell Wallace, James Tate, Annie Smith and Fannie Landerson; and son, Walter Henderson Washington. He is survived by his children, Charlie Jones of Crawford and Glenn Duck Sr. of Erie, Pennsylvania; siblings, Dora Durall and Patricia Tate, both of Youngstown, Ohio, John Lee Wallace of Austintown, Ohio, Louis Wallace of Bronx, New York, and Spence Tate of Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Hairston, Alcurtis Hairston, Leon Gilkey, Henry Robinson, John Love Robert Smith, Jimmie Robinson and Howard Smart.
