Levi Martin Williams, 81, formerly of Lamar County, Ala., died April 30, 2009, at the Aurora Australis Lodge in Columbus. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Cobb officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Williams was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Lamar County, Ala., to the late Jim and Maggie Pennington Williams. He was a truck driver for C.L. Harrison and sold produce for several years. He was a Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Williams; brothers, Otto and Richard Williams. He is survived by his sons, Edwin Harris and Larry Williams, both of Caledonia; daughters, Annette Parker and Lois Boothe, both of Steens, and Yvonne Geer of Caledonia; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Levi Williams, Derick Harris, Micheal and Gary Rush, John Blair and John Geer.
