GREENWOOD SPRINGS — Leslie Dale Long, 65, died April 10, 2010. Services were Saturday at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Roger Akers officiating. Burial followed in the Masonic Cemetery. A lifelong resident of the Greenwood Springs community, he was born May 11, 1944 to the late Ernest Raymond and Mary Catherine Cantrell Long. Before his retirement, he worked for Kerr-McGee and he was a member of East Amory Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ernest Long and Jim Cantrell. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Long, of Greenwood Springs; son, Richard Dale Long, of Greenwood Springs; brother, James Gary Long, of Aberdeen; sisters, Dolores Flynn Barder, of Aberdeen, and Judy Karen Walters, of Greenwood Springs; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Arnold, Jimmy Umfress, Jimmy Brewer, Jimmy Dahlem, Cecil Harris, Jerry Cantrell and Jerry Frederick.
