STEENS — Leola Anthony Sherron, 81, died Jan. 10, 2019, at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Untied Christian Baptist Church in Columbus with Steven L. James Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is Friday from 2-6 p.m. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sherron was born May 9, 1935, in Columbus to the late Dennis and Betty Anthony. She was a member of United Christian Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse D. Sherron; sister, Cornelius Hines; and son, Dennis Watson. She is survived by her children, Wil Watson of Vancouver, Washington, Larry Watson of Atlanta, Flora Watson of Slidell, Sandra Spraglin of New Orleans, Louisiana, Wade Watson of Pontiac, Illinois, George Sherron of Columbus, Johnny Anthyony of Texas, Betty Sherron of Brandon, Linda McDowell of Jackson, Xavier Sherron of Pearl, Natasha Skyes of Columbus and Nakita Sherron of Byram; 31 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
