COLUMBUS — Kewanda Tenika “Nika” Smith, 40, died March 16, 2021.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Prairie Chapel M.B. Church. Visitation is from noon-5 p.m. today, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Smith was born Aug. 16, 1980, in Columbus, to the late Mack Arthur and Lula Bell Smith. She was a 1998 graduate of West Lowndes High School, 2001 graduate of Mary Holmes Junior College, and a 2004 graduate of Mississippi State University. She was formerly employed as a special agent with the Mississippi Department of Revenue and a member of Tabernacle M.B. Church, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eric Henderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Kiersten Williams of D’Iberville; brother, Cornell Smith of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; and sisters, Renate Mitchell of Fulton and Dwylia Elliott of Starkville.
