ETHELSVILLE, Ala. — Kenneth Ira Jewell, 71, died Sept. 23, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ethelsville Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Adcox officiating. Visitation will follow services. Skelton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jewell was born Nov. 10, 1945, to the late George Ira Jewell and Argyl Vera Tilley Jewell. He attended Ethelsville Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Jewell. He is survived by his sons, Mark Jewell, Jason Jewell and Josh Jewell, all of Ethelsville; sisters, Dorris Brown of Columbus, Donna Paul of Alabaster, Alabama, Cynthia Saunders and Suzette Ponds, both of Ethelsville, Lavada Corless of Olive Branch and Montia Jewell of Northport, Alabama; brothers, Billy Jewell of Trusville, Alabama, and Michael Jewell of Ethelsville; and seven grandchildren.
