REFORM, Ala. — Kathleen BUrkhalter Junkin, 86, died June 3, 2016, at her residence. Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Skelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobbie Jean Hagler officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Junkin was born Jan. 18, 1930, in Pickens County, Alabama, to the late Albert Jackson Burkhalter and Amanda Ora Britt Burkhalter. She was a member of Unity Grove United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed as licensed practical nurse at DCH Regional Medical Center and Shelton State Community College bookstore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings. She is survived by husband, James Robert Junkin; daughter, Katherine Smith; sons, Wayne Junkin, Kenneth Junkin and Daniel Junkin; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Bobby Junkin, Kendall Junkin, Tim McKinley, James Burkhalter, Junior Burkhalter and Ricky Junkin.
