BROOKSVILLE — John C. Tate, 92, died April 21, 2021.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Second Baptist M.B. Church. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today, at Kimberly Lewis Professional Memorial Services. Kimberly Lewis Professional Memorial Services of Shuqualak is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tate was born Feb. 24, 1924, to the late Promis and Lula Bell Rice-Tate. He was formerly employed as a farmer and with Airline Manufactory. He was a member of Second M.B. Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, John Albert Tate and Bettie Gene Tate-Peterson; siblings; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Anderson-Tate; children, Robert Lee Tate of Brooksville, Dorothy Tate-Caldwell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sandra Tate-Grandy of Brooksville, Cloud Tate Sr. of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Alvina Tate-Deloach of Brooksville; 15 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
