John Harris Sr.

WEST POINT — John Ed Harris Sr., 85, died June 23, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church, with Donald Wesley officiating. Burial will follow at Tibbee Community Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harris was born Oct. 20, 1936, in Columbus, to the late John E. Harris and Mattie Epps Harris. He was formerly employed as a machine operator for Bryan Foods and was a member of Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Corine Harris Macon; and brother, Tom P. Epps.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Harris; children, Tony Webber, Bernice Harris Williams, John Ed Harris Jr., all of West Point, James Harris of Spring, Texas and Toulua Harris Edwards of West Point; sister, Mary Harris Everson of West Point; 18 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenyari Addison, Kenny Dismuke, Rashad Kismuke, Rashad Greenlee, Thomas Harris and Brandon Harris.
