COLUMBUS — John Henry Corder, 77, died June 6, 2021, at The Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Union Cemetery, with Randy Hill officiating. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Corder was born April 8, 1944, in Lowndes County, to the late Clinton Brown and Mary Corder Brown. He was a member of Salem Seventh Day Adventist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Corder; siblings, Marilyn Brown-Dunn and Clinton Brown Jr.; and one grandchild.
He is survived by his children, Wanda Corder-Jones, Christopher Corder Sr., both of Columbus, Rosetta Davis and Tina Corder, both of Chicago, Illinois; siblings, Willie Brown, Marvin Brown, Aaron Brown, Betty Hunter, Vannessa Brown, all of Columbus and Beverly Coates of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
