GORDO, Ala. — Joe Darrell Hollingsworth, 49, died April 29, 2009, at his residence. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform, Ala., with the Revs. Jerry Montgomery, Jerry Robbins and Shawn McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mr. Hollingsworth was born Nov. 17, 1959, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was a licensed funeral director, having served in Pickens County and Tuscaloosa County for many years in the funeral industry. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Gordo and a lifelong resident of Pickens County. He was preceded in death by his father, Enis L. Hollingsworth; and grandparents, Jim Tom and Emma Hicks, and Wilkens and Tera Hollingsworth. He is survived by his mother, Ervine Hollingsworth of Gordo; sister, Diane Morris of Gordo; and brother, Douglas Hollingsworth of Gordo. Pallbearers will be Andy Jackson, Billy Gulledge, Jason Wyatt, Earl Mitchell, Raiford Boothe, Ronnie Howard, Stan Morrison and Sam Strickland.
