NORTHPORT, Ala. — Jody Allen Newman, 83, died April 16, 2023, at Forest Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with James Godsey officiating. Burialwill follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Newman was born on Feb. 25, 1940, in Fayette County, to the late Arnold Edwin Newman and Eunice Delores Otts Newman. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School. He was formerly employed by Sanderson Plumbing in Columbus. He was a member of Kennedy Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Billy Newman and Brenda Gordon.
